Dorwin Wallace Suttle (July 16, 1906 – September 29, 2001) was a United States federal judge. Born in Knox County, Indiana, Suttle received an LL.B. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1928. He was in private practice in Uvalde, Texas from 1928 to 1964. He was a City attorney of Uvalde, Texas in 1929. He was a County attorney of Uvalde, Texas from 1929 to 1936. He was a Clerk to Vice President John Nance Garner from 1937 to 1941. He was a City attorney of Uvalde, Texas from 1937 to 1941. U.S. Navy, World War II. Suttle was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Suttle was nominated by President Lyndon B. Johnson on April 11, 1964, to a seat vacated by Ben H. Rice. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on June 30, 1964, and received his commission on July 2, 1964. He assumed senior status on October 10, 1979. Suttle served in that capacity until his death, in San Antonio, Texas. ==Sources==
